Liquibase in the Enterprise: Part 7
As discussed in part 5 of this series (and the part 6 follow-up), the co-founder and CTO of a start-up named Datical asked for my input back in 2012 during the market validation process of a new product called Datical DB.
This past week, I was excited to hear that the company was just identified as a "Gartner Cool Vendor in IT Automation, 2016"!
I've been using the original open source product, and at the time only me and a guy from IBM had written anything about it, so it's great that the product is getting some more visible recognition.
The Gartner announcement for Datical is located at this link.
This is my first post in this series after a 2-year hiatus, mainly due to some grueling project schedules. Check back in coming months for additional write-ups on the following topics –
- Why agile database change management is so important for the enterprise
-
Liquibase versus other products such as Microsoft Visual Studio database projects
- Recent experiences with IBM DB2 iSeries 6.1, a difficult product to research
- Recent experiences with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 building a new Java web application and a new data warehouse
- Recent experiences with PostgreSQL 9.4 building a new Java web application analytics product
Thanks again for making this series of blog posts one of the most popular on Erik on Software!
