Global Leadership Summit 2010 Day 2
Today was the second and last day of the annual Global Leadership Summit held in South Barrington, Illinois at Willow Creek Community Church. As I mentioned in my post for the first day, more than 120,000 individuals in 70 countries and 400 cities are taking part in this year's Global Leadership Summit. My goal over the next few days is to share some of the notes I jotted down between yesterday and today.
Conference Schedule – Day 2:
The Land Between. Jeff Manion – Senior Pastor, Ada Bible Church, Ada, Michigan.
When Leaders Emerge: The Story of W.L. Gore & Associates. Terri Kelly – President and CEO of W.L. Gore & Associates, Innovation Leaders and Makers of GORE-TEX Products.
What Motivates Us: Not What You Think. Daniel H. Pink – Business Thinker and Bestselling Author; Former White House Speechwriter.
Making Conscious Capitalism Work: The TOMS Shoes Story. Blake Mycoskie – Founder and "Chief Shoe Giver", TOMS Shoes, Inc.
Leader to Leader. Jack Welch – Former Chairman and CEO, General Electric; Bestselling Author.
Combustible Passion. T.D. Jakes – Chief Pastor, The Potter's House, Dallas, Texas. Did not attend.
Final Comments. Bill Hybels – Founder and Senior Pastor, Willow Creek Community Church, South Barrington, Illinois. Did not attend.
Fortunately, I decided to stick with my Sigma 30mm F1.4 EX DC HSM lens today. The varied lighting conditions I experienced yesterday were still present, but were less pronounced because the shades covering the large windows in the auditorium were closed for the majority of the day. Attached below are some of the photos I took during the multimedia opening segment before the sessions with the above speakers began. While the backgrounds of the speakers are varied, and the topics of the sessions ranged from the secular to the spiritual, the content of this opening segment should be no surprise given that the conference is hosted by one of the largest church organizations in the world.
