Global Leadership Summit 2010 Day 1

Today I had the opportunity to attend the first day of the annual Global Leadership Summit held in South Barrington, Illinois at Willow Creek Community Church. More than 120,000 individuals in 70 countries and 400 cities are taking part in this year's Global Leadership Summit. My goal over the next few days is to share some of the notes I jot down between today and tomorrow.

Conference Schedule – Day 1:

Keynote Address.  Bill Hybels – Founder and Senior Pastor, Willow Creek Community Church, South Barrington, Illinois.

Never, Ever, Give Up.  Jim Collins – Nationally Acclaimed Business Thinker and Bestselling Author.

Leading on the Edge of Hope.  Christine Caine – Founder of the A21 Campaign; Director of Equip and Empower Ministries; Pastor and Teacher, Hillsong Church, Sydney Australia.

The Mentor Leader.  Tony Dungy – Winning Coach of the 2007 Super Bowl; NBC Analyst.

When Leaders Fall.  Adam Hamilton – Founder and Senior Pastor, The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, Leawood, Kansas.

Beyond Economy: China's Transformation with the Cross.  Dr. Peter Zhao Xiao – Leading Chinese Economist; Chairman of Cypress Leadership Institute; Professor, University of Science and Technology, Beijing.

The Upside of Tension.  Andy Stanley – Senior Pastor, North Point Church, Alpharetta, Georgia; Founder, North Point Ministries.

Unfortunately, I used a low-light, wide aperture, fixed focal lens to address the lighting issues I was expecting to encounter once inside the auditorium, but the lens wrestled with the constantly varied lighting conditions, so some of the photos from the first day of the conference did not turn out as well as hoped.
